Daffan Homes was started by Chris Daffan in 2006 to build and remodel sustainable homes in the Northern Virginia and District of Columbia metro area. Chris started Daffan Homes after serving two years as a construction manager with the Prince William County Habitat for Humanity affiliate.
SINCE 2006 EVERY HOME BUILT OR REMODELED BY DAFFAN HOMES HAS BEEN BASED ON CHRIS’ VISION OF SUSTAINABLE HOME CONSTRUCTION METHODS.
These practices include 20-60% higher insulation values, energy star appliances and lighting, appropriate use of solar technology, recycling of construction waste, and reuse of materials through the Habitat for Humanity restore system. Chris has a very loyal customer base as shown by these testimonials and the number of repeat customers that keep coming back for additional construction services. Daffan Homes most recent project was the construction of an EarthCraft Platinum Certified home in Alexandria Virginia for Mr. Patrick Fogarty of Wilkinson Property Management and Home First Realty. This home featured the highest level of insulation, photovoltaic solar panels and solar hot water heating, recycling of all construction waste, energy star appliances and lighting, sustainable bamboo flooring, and a high efficiency HVAC system.
